beta maxing/ˈbeɪtə ˈmaksɪŋ/n.the practice of maximizing the improvement a product gains from user feedback during its beta stage

For founders and technical builders

Find your
first beta users.

Building is no longer the hardest part. Finding users is.

You built it. Now you need the people who will tell you what to fix, before you run out of runway. Betamaxx connects you to a community of engaged beta users who test, try, break and give feedback, so you iterate fast on real usage, not guesses.

The vision

A new way of creating software,
from first principles.

Betamaxx goes back to first principles: you have an application in mind that makes somebody's work lighter or enables something new, and you get to a manifestation of it as fast as possible. You are the Product Officer: you dictate what to make, the factory ships it, and your first beta users are in the loop from day one.

Always in beta

Modern software is never finished. Betamaxx optimizes your beta continuously, so your product keeps reflecting what your users actually need, instead of what you guessed they wanted.

First beta users, not first code

The hardest part is not building. It is finding users willing to test and give valuable feedback. Betamaxx's community gives you highly engaged users who test, try, break and give feedback, so you learn what to build next from real usage.

From conversation to solution

Most of the time goes into capturing the founder's vision and translating it into a technical solution. With Betamaxx you go from conversation to solution: you have a conversation, get the business idea scoped into a solution, and let it develop continuously. The factory writes, tests and ships the code, and you stay in control of the roadmap.

The problem

Building was never the hard part.
Finding the users is.

Here is what starting up looks like without Betamaxx. It is not a code problem. It is a people problem: the product only gets better when the right people use it and tell you what they think.

You build, and nobody comes

You spend months building in the dark. When you finally launch, the feedback you get is too late, and the people who show up were never the ones you needed. Meanwhile you are guessing what to build next.

Feedback is a trickle, not a stream

A few emails, a couple of tweets, maybe a support ticket. Not enough signal to know what to build next, and no community of users who actually care about your product. You are learning slower than the market is moving.

Every iteration costs you weeks

You are the product builder, the developer, the support desk and the roadmap. Each change means another round of building, testing and shipping, and the loop is far too slow to learn from. The best products are made by iterating quickly and intensely with the best users. You are doing the opposite.

The plan

A clear plan: connect, cluster, build or plan.

Betamaxx gives you four steps. The first three run without you. The fourth is where you decide.

1

Connect every channel

Anyone can report: an integrable widget you drop into your site or app in one line, an email to support, a voice note, and integrations with third-party customer support systems, so technical issues from your helpdesk are forwarded here too. Your team's ideas count as well. And software reports: dependency updates, update announcements, uptime monitors, security testing. Every channel lands in one messaging center.

2

Cluster into real issues

Reports are triaged and automatically clustered by meaning, not keywords. Your messaging center shows the real issues, not hundreds of “it broke” messages. Duplicates collapse into one clear card.

3

Implemented automatically

Each cluster becomes a specification and goes to Execution, where an Agentic Software Factory picks it up on its own and writes the code, tests, fixes and ships it. A Product Officer triaged the idea and augmented it with your team first; no developer assigns it, no sprint plans it. Report to production in minutes, hands off.

4

Planning: decide together

Bigger ideas go to Planning: a collaborative roadmap you build with all stakeholders, including the people who reported it. Your team's ideas and user feedback guide what to make next.

The guide

We've been there.
So we built the factory.

We know what it is like to drown in feedback and still ship too slowly. Betamaxx is not a copilot that suggests code for someone to review and merge. A factory that runs the whole pipeline by itself, applying the same discipline to every change, every iteration, without fatigue. So your team can focus on the harder question: what to make.

Spec→ Implement→ Test→ Debug→ Fix→ Security check→ Deploy→ Verify in production

Every step above runs automatically, end to end, from the specification to the verified deployment. Nothing ships without being tested, security-checked, deployed and tested again at every iteration, not just before release. And because the work runs deferred and unsupervised (batched, queued, and completed without a human in the loop), the factory keeps your infrastructure busy instead of idle: the same capacity, working around the clock.

Betamaxx comes as a turnkey agentic software factory. You can bring your own model API keys, or take the complete turnkey setup, and you are ready to go from the moment you subscribe.

About us

The people behind the factory.

An Ai Applied product

Betamaxx is an Ai Applied product. Ai Applied is two founders, Mark Mooij and Bruno Jakic, who have been building production AI since 2007, for ING, KPN, ARAG, Essent and De Volksbank. They created Inqqa AI and Conversense, and today run several SaaS products in parallel.

A tiny team, a streamlined process

No account managers, no handoffs: when you talk to Ai Applied, you talk to the engineers who built it. The process is so streamlined, from feedback to shipped code by the factory, that the two founders run four SaaS projects in parallel, with AI doing the development, without compromising quality. In fact, quality is higher than it has ever been.

The result

An MVP in days.
Real feedback within weeks.

Before Betamaxx: you build in the dark, launch too late, and learn too slowly. After: a community of engaged beta users, an MVP in days, and a feedback loop that tells you what to build next. Betamaxx is the bridge.

Days
from idea to MVP, hands off

You have a conversation, get the business idea scoped into a solution, and the factory writes, tests and ships it. First beta users can join for free or a nominal fee.

Weeks
from MVP to real feedback

A community of engaged beta users tests, tries, breaks and gives feedback, so you know what to build next.

Every gate
on every iteration

Tested, debugged, fixed, security-checked, deployed, re-verified. The discipline never depends on someone remembering, even when you are a team of one.

You decide what gets built. Betamaxx does the building.
